The Secret Garden Invitation: Sneak Peak

Well, I've been plugging away on the storybook inspired digital invitation's my newest design. I'm not quite finished with it...have some work to do on textures and color, but on the whole, I'm happy with how it turned out. Make sure to check out my Etsy Shop to see how you can purchase more storybook inspired designs!

The great thing about a digital download is....

1. It's cost effective

2. You are allowed power to create your invites, but just offered    a great design to "jump" off with

3. Most of my designs are semi customize-able.

Invitation Sneak Peek

I'm working on my first storybook inspired wedding invitation line. When I say storybook I don't mean "princess" stuff. Yuck. I've recently been inspired by vintage book covers and clippings. So my designs will be based off of those ideas. I'm also drawing from some of my favorite novels growing up like, The Secret Garden and Anne of Green Gables.

Here is today's first tid bit. I'm pretty happy with it, yet it still needs some tweaking...but I can't wait to start working on the matching RSVP, back ground textures, closures and envelopes. I really think designing wedding invitations is one of the hardest things to do. Especially at the beginning, before you've really worked under the pressure of pleasing a real blushing bride. I do believe I'm up for the challenge though...I surely do. Look for my invitation designs in my Etsy shop coming soon!

Here is a question for my readers though, have an idea for me? Please share! Any ideas falling within a storybook theme that has a strong vintage perspective (so, not Twillight...ha) will be considered. I'd love to get some feedback from you all, I'm hoping to create a large line that can keep me going for 6 months or so. Leave a comment below!
