Design: Woodland Fairy Tales

What I'm seeing in blogs/magazines/stores this winter is simply lovely. I've been noticing a lot of delicate more feminine items being paired with heavier woodland looks. Isn't that always the most attractive... the pretty paired with something a little more harsh or rich?

It's also been fun to see all the fantasy/fairy tale trends come out with a vengeance over the last two years...both in movies (Alice In WonderlandRed Riding HoodSnow White & The Huntsmen and Mirror Mirror) and television (Once Upon a Time and Grimm). Naturally, fashion and interior design have mimicked this a bit as well. The whimsical woodland ambiance birthed from that very idea has been sheer fun to collect on my Pinterest boards. Here's a little of what I've been enjoying...and WISHING I had a house to drench these fun trends in for the colder months. Enjoy!
